Ultraviolet Break of Day

Photographer Marcus Wendt captured these images while experiencing jet lag-induced insomnia during travels through Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Seoul. Wandering late-night urban streets with camera in hand, he documented alleyways bathed in cool ultraviolet light reminiscent of cyberpunk cinema like Blade Runner. Over several days, Wendt explored Hong Kong's Kowloon district and Shenzhen's electronics-focused Huaqiangbei area before travelling to Seoul, creating a mesmerising visual chronicle of neon-soaked Asian cityscapes.
