Ultraviolet Break of Day — L'estetica cyberpunk

This series documents Shenzhen and Hong Kong through the lens of London-based photographer Marcus Wendt. Experiencing jet-lag insomnia, Wendt explored Chinese streets at night and discovered visual parallels to 1990s cyberpunk gaming aesthetics and Blade Runner. He describes the experience: "Plunged into a foreign dark I found a new way of seeing, strange and alien. Synthetic light creeps into my eyes."
